Christchurch Urban Restoration Workshop

The Christchurch Urban Restoration Workshop was co-hosted by People, Cities & Nature and the NZ Biological Heritage Science Challenge on June 7th, 2019 at Addington Raceway & Events Centre. The day was attended by 80 people representing local councils, contractors, non-profit organisations, community groups, Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research, Lincoln and Canterbury University staff and students, landscape architects, consultants as well as members of the general public.

It was a busy day with 18 top-class presentations as well as a special evening seminar from our programme leader Professor Bruce Clarkson. We thank our partners at BioHeritage and the people of Christchurch for turning out in great numbers and with fantastic enthusiasm. Most of the presentations are available here but unfortunately one or two were not captured due to technical difficulties, including the end of Bruce's evening seminar.
