NELSON AND TASMAN Urban Restoration Workshop

The Nelson and Tasman Urban Restoration Workshop was co-hosted by People, Cities & Nature, Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council on March 13th, 2020. The full-day workshop was attend by 65 people representing Council staff, non-profit organisations, community groups, members of Forest and Bird, local landscaping businesses, staff from the Department of Conservation, as well as members of the general public.

It was a well-received event with 10 quality presentations (see below) in the morning and local field work demonstrations at Rutherford Park in the afternoon where discussions included:

  • Restoring native lizards in cities
  • Monitoring introduced mammalian predators in urban landscapes
